Since joining the practice he has worked on both multi-family housing, cultural, and commercial projects bringing fresh ideas on design while minimizing the impacts of development. In addition, he leads Monarch Design Group's immersive visualization and live design team which provides clients a 3-dimensional, first-person perspective view of their space in the initial stages of design. This allows the team to identify and avoid potential problems and visualize opportunities for improvement during the early stages of design to avoid costly changes, rework, or delayed project schedules. Mr. Chenault is experienced in all phases of planning and design for residential and commercial buildings, including historic rehabilitation. In addition, he heads Monarchs' immersive visualization / live design team which provides clients a 3-dimensional, first-person perspective view of their space in the initial stages of design. This allows the team to identify and avoid potential problems and visualize opportunities for improvement during the early stages of design to avoid costly changes, rework, or delayed project schedules.

Claudia Casal is the Director of Production at Monarch Design Group, integrating her interests and education into a practical position to support architectural work. Throughout her time working at Six Side Architecture and later the State Materials Office, Ms. Casal has become adept at ensuring all construction documents satisfy legal requirements and incorporate all of the project’s goals. She has spent time in the field supporting bridge repair projects and has also worked as a CADD specialist, preparing professional documents, conducting quality control field inspections, and much more. As Director of Production at Monarch, Ms. Casal oversees all the production team members and keeps projects on time and within budget; she is responsible for coordinating project schedules and creating the company standards to improve construction drawings and services of the company.

Donald is a Certified Planner and Associate of the American Institute of Architects with more than 19 years of experience across the public and private sectors, integrating urban design, planning, and architecture to deliver holistic, feasible, and equitable built environment solutions. His expertise spans building programming, placemaking, community planning, transportation and infrastructure planning, and capital improvement planning. He brings a pragmatic yet creative approach to projects, complemented by strong public speaking skills and an artistic sensibility.

Kathy has over 20 years of experience in project coordination, scheduling, and client support across complex, multi-stakeholder environments. With experience supporting architectural programming and pre-design efforts, she provides oversight and coordination that help guide projects from early discovery meetings through massing and vertical concept development, ensuring client goals are clearly defined and advanced toward construction documentation. Kathy is skilled in client management and communication, assisting teams and clients by preparing proposals, reports, and deliverables that define project needs, scope, and next steps. Known for her responsiveness and attention to detail, she plays a key role in moving projects forward by addressing client questions, tracking progress, and supporting the realization of client ideas.

Jordin brings nearly 20 years of experience in Project Management, Quality Control, and Construction Administration, across a wide range of projects valued from $5 million to $620 million. Her broad expertise provides a unique and strategic perspective, enabling teams to consistently deliver projects on time and within budget. Jordin is known for her strong leadership, collaborative approach, and ability to build lasting relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors. At Monarch Design Group, Jordin oversees quality control and leads construction administration for all projects. She supports project teams by providing constructability insights, resolving code-related challenges, and establishing best practices aligned with industry standards.

Annelies Gielstra is an Architectural Design Team Leader at Monarch Design Group, where she produces detailed architectural drawings with a strong focus on precision and design quality. She brings a comprehensive design background shaped by both architectural and interior architecture training. Ms. Gielstra earned her Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida, followed by a Master of Architecture and a Master of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon. She has led teams of four or more designers while managing 17+ active projects, guiding work from test fits and space planning, through curated finishes, detailed renderings, and permit-ready construction documents. Brailyn is known for her high energy, strong people skills, and ability to thrive in collaborative environments, presenting ideas to clients, mentoring junior designers, and coordinating with consultants. She brings creativity, organization, and practical problem-solving to every project to ensure thoughtful, successful outcomes.

Don holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Westwood College in Denver, Colorado, and joined Monarch Design Group in 2024. He is valued for his experience-driven approach and ability to support well-coordinated, high-quality project documentation.

She is currently pursuing NCIDQ certification to further enhance her professional expertise.

She began her career at residential firms in Massachusetts, contributing to custom homes and renovations on Martha’s Vineyard and Cape Cod, before relocating to Boston for graduate studies.
